Prayer and Share
This is a time when people have the opportunity to share what they have been experiencing in their lives and what they believe God has said to them. This may be through sharing a scripture, a song or something from daily bible reading notes that has spoken to them. We believe that this sharing together of our spiritual experiences does much to encourage us in our faith and speaks into our church situation as well as our personal lives.
These meetings try to remain focussed on hearing from God. By noting anything that you have read, heard or experienced that is encouraging and coming to share what God is doing in your life it is an encouragement to others.
We declare that God is alive and acitve and we want these meetings to be able to encourage, edify and build up our faith in Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit.
1 Corinthians 14: 26 What then shall we say, brothers? When you come together, everyone has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. All of these must be done for the strengthening of the church.
The meetings currently take place in the home of a member of the church.
We are currently using some of this time to work through a bible study as a means of stimulating discussion and focus on what God may be saying to us.
